Individual investors tend to be on the conservative side, but their portfolios will do far better if Hillary Clinton wins the election.

Fact: The economy and the stock market historically do much better under Dems than Republicans.

Check out this report by the National Bureau of Economic Research. And no, this outfit is not funded by the Democratic version of the Koch brothers.

Here’s an excerpt from the report: “The U.S. economy not only grows faster, according to real GDP and other measures, during Democratic versus Republican presidencies, it also produces more jobs, lowers the unemployment rate, generates higher corporate profits and investment, and turns in higher stock market returns. Indeed, it outperforms under almost all standard macroeconomic metrics.”

Don’t believe that source? Try this one from the NDN. You’ll find even stronger conclusions, including a brief look at how investors fared under the Dems and under the Republicans.

Here’s a peek: “Under the two Democratic presidents (Clinton and Obama), the stock market soared. The Dow Jones has more than doubled in the Obama era and now is at record highs. Under Bill Clinton it grew four fold. Under the first President Bush the market had a small increase. The Dow was lower when the second President Bush left office than when he arrived.”
