MicrosoftLet’s get right down to brass tacks: Don’t bail on Microsoft anytime soon. Those selling this stock are doing so in a panic, and anyone avoiding a new position is making a long-term mistake, period.

The market dropped a bit of a hammer on Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) shares after its release of fourth-quarter and year-end (June 30) financials.

What looked fairly miserable on paper in the form of disappointing earnings and revenues, mixed with a humungous write-down of a fundamentally flawed investment, is actually a glass half-full moment.

Throw in the company’s recent stock jump after announcing its new partnership with cloud-based platform developer Jasper Technologies Inc. to develop new processes around the Internet of Things (IoT), and the stage is set for a comeback.

I like what I see from start to finish, and here are three reasons why I won’t sell Microsoft, and neither should anyone else.
