Why is Apple Stock Falling?For the first time since 2014, Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) shares are below $100—and it looks like the price may continue to tumble…

In short, blame the iPhone’s slow sales. Talk all you want about Macs, MacBooks and Apple Watches, but the iPhone is so much a part of Apple’s bottom line today that the company is nearly a banana republic.

Going forward, if the company doesn’t introduce new halo products or find a way to sell millions more iPhones, things could get ugly.

Remember, these are the same people that flirted with the moniker “World’s Most Valuable Company” last summer, when its market cap reached $775 billion.

Apple’s earnings report arrives soon, and analysts believe earnings per share will come in at $3.26. The company has consistently beat analysts’ expectations, but there are a number of factors that could impact earnings both now and throughout 2016.
